WordPress website packages: what should be included?

A useful WordPress website package defines the pages, content work, functionality, launch checks and ownership you receive. Compare those deliverables before comparing prices. Two quotes for a ten-page website can cover very different amounts of work.

What should a WordPress website package include?

Ask for a written scope that you can check at handover. We recommend covering these seven areas:

  1. Page list and languages. Name each page and specify whether translated versions, translation writing and content entry are included.
  2. Design approach. State whether the work adapts a template, customises an existing design or creates a new design. Agree the number of review rounds.
  3. Content responsibilities. Identify who supplies text, photographs, logos and product data, and who edits and uploads them.
  4. Working features. Describe the enquiry form, booking request, catalogue or checkout in terms of what the customer and your team can do.
  5. Launch checks. Include phone layouts, keyboard navigation, form delivery, image loading, page titles and redirects from replaced URLs.
  6. Ownership and access. Record who controls the domain, hosting, WordPress administrator account, source files and paid licences.
  7. Handover and care. Separate training, defect correction, ongoing updates, backups and future content changes.

Which costs need separate lines?

Distinguish the initial build from recurring costs: domain renewal, hosting, paid software licences, maintenance and ongoing SEO. Ask which services are optional and what happens if you change provider. A first-year discount is easier to assess when the renewal amount is visible.

Our pricing page and project calculator show Sajdoko’s current ranges and options. Those are our prices, not a survey of the Albanian market. The final quote should name the chosen design approach, content volume and integrations.

What does “SEO included” actually mean?

Ask for the tasks, not the label. Page titles, indexable content, internal links and redirects are different deliverables from monthly research and publishing. A technically accessible website still needs useful content that answers the questions its customers ask.

Google’s SEO Starter Guide explains the fundamentals. For the additional questions buyers now ask about AI answers, read our AI-search readiness guide.

When does a package need custom development?

A service website with editable pages and an enquiry form is a different project from a booking system with staff permissions, availability rules and financial reports. Write down the workflow before deciding whether a plugin, an integration or a separate application is needed. Our WordPress versus custom software guide explains that decision.

How can you compare two offers fairly?

Give both providers the same brief. For example, a tourism business might request service pages in Albanian and English, an enquiry form that records the selected tour, named staff access and a clear handover. Adapt this sample to your business needs.

Then ask each provider to mark every item as included, optional or excluded. Check their relevant work: our Tour Tirana case study describes a public website and an internal system, making the distinction between those deliverables visible.

Before you request a quote

  • List the pages and languages you need.
  • Describe one complete customer journey, from arrival to enquiry or purchase.
  • List the systems the website must exchange data with.
  • Identify existing URLs that must continue working.
  • State who will maintain the content after launch.
