Care & Security

Ongoing WordPress care: tested updates with rollback, 30-day offsite daily backups, uptime monitoring, and dedicated developer support each month.

Your website needs someone after it is built, too: updates, tested backups, monitoring and a technical contact when something breaks.

The plan is separate, optional and described before the site is handed over.

What happens to a site left alone

Without regular checks, problems can go unnoticed:

  • WordPress ships a security update nobody applies
  • A plugin stops being supported and stays installed anyway
  • An SSL certificate expires without being renewed
  • The contact form stops delivering enquiries and the failure goes unnoticed
  • Someone finds a gap, and the site starts sending spam from your domain name

Regular checks help identify these issues before they interrupt your work.

Check where plugin updates come from

We check the source and update path of installed themes and plugins, including modified copies distributed outside the original developer’s channels.

A plugin may work today while still having these maintenance problems:

  • They receive no security patches through the official channel. When a vulnerability is disclosed, your build may never get the fix – and the vulnerability becomes public knowledge all the same.
  • They do not report to your dashboard. They never show as “update available”, so a site full of them looks current and is not.
  • They cannot be verified. You do not know what changed between the original release and what is running on your server.

We removed that category of risk from our own site. The page you are reading runs two plugins in total, Polylang and our own sajdoko-core plugin.

We document the plugins on your site, explain any update or licensing gaps and agree a replacement plan with you. This work can happen in stages after the care plan starts.

What the plan covers

Updates

WordPress, theme and plugins, applied after checking rather than automatically and blindly. After every update we check the site still works – homepage, forms, checkout where there is one – and roll back immediately if something breaks.

Backups

A backup every day, retained for 30 days, stored off the site’s own server. The worst case costs you one day of work, and you can go a month back.

We check periodically that a backup restores, not merely that it exists. Most serious problems are discovered days after they happen, and by then a single latest backup is often already carrying the damage.

Security

Uptime monitoring with an alert when the site goes down, file integrity checks, hardening of dashboard login, SSL maintained and renewed, and an inventory of what is running with unpatched code replaced over time.

When something breaks

Technical fault fixes on the site within the plan, cleanup after a compromise, and closing the route it came in through. You contact us directly when there is a problem.

Small content changes

Up to one hour a month is included: text changes, swapping an image, updating a price, adding a simple page.

The hour does not roll over, and larger work gets a quote of its own. We agree any additional cost before starting larger changes.

Response timeWithin
Standard plan12 hours
With priority support2 hours

A response means a person who has read the problem, looked at the site and told you what is happening – not an automated acknowledgement. How long the fix itself takes depends on the fault, but the first deadline is fixed.

The plan that fits the site

A brochure site and an online store carry different levels of risk. Priority support and hosting remain separate so the plan says exactly what it covers.

Current annual plans and the hosting comparison stay on the Pricing page. See Domains & Hosting →

Questions

Is it compulsory?
No. We do not condition delivery of a site on buying the plan, and you can stop it.
Why annual rather than monthly?
Because the work is annual. Updates, renewals and reviews follow a yearly cycle, and a single payment costs less to administer – for you and for us.
What is not included?
New development, new pages, redesign, SEO campaigns and integrations. Those are priced as projects. The plan covers keeping what exists secure and working.
Do you cover a Laravel system too?
Not under this plan. Support for custom systems is priced against the system – see Software Development.
What if the site is hacked while I am on the plan?
We clean it and close the route it came in through, within the plan. Tested backups give us a recovery option when restoration is needed.
