Website restyling

Your business has moved forward. Bring your website with it.

We redesign existing websites around what your customers need: clear information, easy use on a phone and a simple way to get in touch. We start by reviewing what works and what needs to change.

Already have a developer or hosting? We can review that site too.

What is holding your website back?

Perhaps it is awkward on a phone, describes services you no longer offer, or makes a small edit difficult. The right approach depends on the problem we find.

A visual refresh

The content and functions still serve the business. We update layouts, typography, colours and images while keeping a sound structure.

A more useful website

Visitors struggle to find a service or make an enquiry. We rethink navigation, key pages, content and the contact journey.

A full rebuild

The current platform prevents the changes you need. We plan a replacement and the migration of agreed content and functions.

If a few focused fixes are enough, we will recommend them. A website’s age alone is no reason to replace it.

If the review raises a question about the platform, our WordPress versus custom software guide explains when each approach fits.

What we can change

We agree the pages, features and checks in writing. The review decides which of these your site needs.

A design that fits the business

We adapt the page layout, type and imagery to your identity and the services you offer today.

Pages that work on a phone

Readable text, usable navigation and comfortable controls, checked across phone, tablet and desktop layouts.

Content people can follow

A clear service structure, useful headings and answers to the questions a customer asks before contacting you.

A direct route to an enquiry

Visible contact options and labelled forms. Existing booking, payment or CRM connections are reviewed before changes are agreed.

Performance and search checks

We check loading, interaction and layout stability, plus page titles, indexing, internal links and relevant structured data.

A practical handover

We show you how to make agreed content edits and hand over the access and source files for the work delivered.

Our AI-search readiness guide explains the content and technical foundations. Ongoing research and content work are covered separately by our SEO service.

See the changes before they go live

Your current site remains available while we work on the preview. Any launch window or temporary pause is agreed in advance.

  1. Review the current site

Send the URL and the main problem. We review the public pages first and ask for relevant access only when a deeper check is needed.

  2. Agree the work and design

You receive a written scope, price and schedule. We agree what stays, what changes and the direction of the key pages.

  3. Build on a protected preview

You review the changes away from the public site. We test the agreed pages and functions before arranging the switch.

  4. Check, launch and hand over

We back up the current site, verify redirects and important journeys, then check the live version and show you how to use it.

Your existing website has things worth keeping.

We identify useful content and important URLs before changing them. Where an address must change, we map it to the relevant replacement and test the redirect. We check indexing settings, internal links and the sitemap at launch, with a backup available if we need to restore the previous version.

These checks reduce avoidable migration problems. Search rankings can still fluctuate after significant changes.

A quote based on your existing site

The initial review is free. We quote the work after checking what can stay and what needs changing, so you have a clear price before we start.

What affects the price

The number of page layouts, the condition of the current build, content changes, languages, and connections to shops, bookings or other systems. A change of platform and content migration need their own scope.

Timing and handover

We set the schedule after the review. As a reference, a standard business website build usually takes 2 to 4 weeks once content and access are ready; a limited refresh may need less work. Payment is 50% to start and 50% on handover.

You keep ownership of your domain and content, and receive the source code for our custom work. Hosting, maintenance, paid licences, extensive copywriting and ongoing SEO are stated separately where needed.

Before you decide

Is website restyling the same as a full redesign?

Restyling can be limited to the visual presentation when the structure and functions are sound. A broader redesign changes navigation or content; a rebuild replaces the underlying implementation. We recommend the extent of work after reviewing your site.

Can you work on a website someone else built?

Yes. We first check the platform, access, licences and important integrations. We can work with an existing WordPress site or propose a migration when necessary. The review establishes what is practical before we quote.

Will my website stay online during the work?

We normally build on a separate preview while the current site stays live. We agree the launch window in advance. Shops and booking sites may need a brief pause or a data transfer plan so recent orders and reservations are accounted for.

Will a redesign affect my Google rankings?

It can, particularly when URLs or content change. We keep useful pages where practical, map changed addresses, and check redirects, indexing and the sitemap. These steps reduce avoidable problems, but no redesign can guarantee unchanged rankings.

Does the platform or hosting have to change?

Only when the agreed work requires it. We review your current setup first. If a move is needed, the quote explains the migration, responsibility for email and other connected services, and any new recurring costs.

Will the new site be easier for AI to understand?

Clear service pages, accessible text and accurate structured data can make information easier to interpret. We can check those foundations as part of the work. They do not guarantee a recommendation in ChatGPT, Google AI features or another assistant.

How much does restyling cost, and how long does it take?

Both depend on the existing website and the agreed changes. Send the URL and your main concern for a free initial review. We then provide a written price and schedule, with migration, content work and optional ongoing services identified separately.

Can I keep my content and manage the site myself?

Yes. We agree which text, images and pages will be retained, and show you how to make the content edits included in the project. Your domain and content stay yours. Third-party themes and plugins remain subject to their own licences.

Start with the website you have.

Send us your website address, what is not working for you, and any functions that must stay. We will review it and explain the next step.

Use the message field in our contact form for the URL and details. No passwords are needed for the initial public-page review.
